| A word about starters and starter adapters. Of all the systems, the hex starting system is the most versatile. The only model I know of that can't be adapted to a hex system is the Kyosho Concept. The adapters are fairly inexpensive and compact. While you can get away with a straight 6mm hex shaft, it is better to go ahead and invest in an extension with a one way bearing...when it's time to buy one. Quite a few kits now are including a plug-in type extension. These are fine for 30s, but a 60 will usually spit it out of the rubber cup sooner or later. When that happens you could do damage to your canopy or linkages. We recommend one that clamps to the starter directly. For a starter, this is a sweet setup. It takes the following: 1 - HCAP3300 Starter (It has the mounting holes for the battery holders) 1 - KS454 Battery Holders. For Sullivan starters you need an MA4688 2 battery packs. Either of the starters we sell will handle 2 - 7 cell packs. We recommend 7 cell packs for the 80 and 90 size engines. 2 - DLR1000 Connectors. They have wires already soldered to the connectors. You just have to splice them in. Use heat shrink tubing over the connection. 1 - Starter Extension and Adapters of your choice. I wire mine so I can charge each pack separately, but you can wire them all together and charge them with something like the BAN301DX. Keep the wires as short as you can.
