This gear is clearly superior to the old gear (H60020). However it does require a third generation hub.
IMPORTANT This gear has a major diameter of approximately 109mm. It has 170 teeth and can only be used with front tail drive gears that are approximately 25mm in diameter such as the H60121 and H60078. Caution: It is NOT compatible with H60228
Works only with third generation hubs, such as HN6064BA. The third generation hub is thicker and this gear is cut out to accept it.
This gear can be identified by the metal sleeve pressed into the bottom of the gear. It also has a deeper pocket for the third generation hubs.
