A BEC supplies power to your receiver. It is typically powered by the main battery in an electric model so you don't have to have a seperate receiver battery. Some ESCs include a built in BEC. Which one you choose depends on the voltage of your main battery and the load your servos will place on the BEC. If you are using a 12S pack on a 90 size machine, you definitely need the 20A model.
