Flight Simulators
Why should I buy a simulator?
In addition to being a great way to spend time on a rainy day, a simulator actually teaches you to fly. Flying a real r/c helicopter is quite different, but the simulator improves your reflexes.
So when you do fly the real thing, you're much less likely to move the sticks the wrong way. How much
money will that save you?

FAQ
- I have an older computer. Can it run a simulator?
- Only you can determine that. Most modern computers can run a sim just fine. When you're using
an older operating system, installation can be tricky. Be sure to check the System Requirements before you purchase a sim. If you still aren't sure, click or call the manufacturer's website or help number.
- Is it important that I can use my own transmitter?
- Not really. Since the purpose of the sim is to teach reflexes, using your own transmitter makes no
difference. Why would you want to wear out your good radio on a sim anyway?
The one reason to practice briefly on your actual radio would be to learn your switches and get
used to flipping them. Other than that, use the controller that comes with the sim.
- I can't get it to install on my computer. What should I do?
- Read the manual. Check the simulator manufacturer's website. Call the support number listed in the manual. They are trained to help you.
