If your tail starts wagging for no good reason, try changing the tape that holds the sensor. As time goes on, the tape will get hard and fail to provide the insulation from vibration that it's designed to. New tape will probably fix the problem.

Another thing to check is the tightness of the boom support bolts. If they get loose, they can raise cane with the gyro.

Also, make sure you don't have the sensor unit strapped down too tightly. That could compress the tape, making it useless.
